Actress Suzy picked the part where we should focus in “Anna”.
On June 21st, the press conference of Coupang Play’s series “Anna” was held at the Conrad Seoul Hotel in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. Suzy, Jung Eun-chae, Kim Jun-han, and Park Ye-young attended the event to express their excitement ahead of the series’ release.
In the drama, Suzy plays Anna/Yumi, a woman who loses her true identity after living as someone else because of a minor lie that she made up. She reportedly wore about 150 costumes for the character.
Suzy said, “I never thought I’d wear that many. Yumi had been wearing school uniform since high school, and she wore various types of uniforms as she did a lot of part-time jobs. When Yumi became Anna, she wore fancy and luxurious clothes. Their style is so different that it will be fun to watch.” She added, “Hyeon-ju (played by Jung Eun-chae) is very gorgeous. Her gorgeous visuals can also be a point to watch for.”
Jung Eun-chae, who plays the “silver spoon” Hyeon-ju, shared, “Outfits can be a means of depicting the character. I wear it regardless of the free-spirited and unconventional TPO (Time, Place, Occasion) that contrasts with Anna. I wore clothes with very colorful patterns and a bit high saturation.”
Park Ye-young, who takes on the role of a university student, smiled shyly, “Looking at the two of them, I thought that clothes should be comfortable.” Coupang Play’s “Anna” tells the story of a woman who lives a completely different life starting with a small lie. “Anna”, based on Jung Han-ah’s novel “Intimate Stranger”, was written and directed by director Lee Joo-young of the movie “A Single Rider” (2017). It will be released on June 24th.
