On Sep 21st, we met actor Kim Joo-hun at a cafe in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul and conducted a wrap-up interview for MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “Big Mouth“.
“Big Mouth” tells the story of a third-rate lawyer with a ten percent success rate. His life is suddenly in danger when he is mistaken for a genius conman known as “Big Mouse” and gets caught up in a murder case. In order to survive and protect his family, he digs into a huge conspiracy among the privileged upper classes. In the drama, Kim Joo-hun played the role of Choi Do-ha, the hidden final villain and mayor of Gucheon.
Kim Joo-hun is busier than anyone else this year. From his special appearance in ENA’s “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” to “Big Mouth”, all of his works were successful. As he was cast in dramas “Ask the Stars” and “Dr. Romantic 3”, the rest of this year will be devoted to filming without a break.
Kim Joo-hun said, “I decided to appear in ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ without even looking at the script when I heard that it was directed by Yoo In-shik. We worked together in ‘Dr. Romantic’ and he made a person named Kim Joo-hun an actor. It’s embarrassing that I was fortunate enough to be in a project that did well. I’m glad you liked the drama although I appeared briefly. I guess I’m lucky.”
“Thankfully, I got the script for ‘Ask the Stars’ and I was offered a role that made me curious, so I decided to do it. It’s directed by Park Shin-woo, who has a deep relationship with me, so I want to act in a fun way there. I’ll also enjoy filming ‘Dr. Romantic’ until next year with the family I’ll meet again. After that, I’ll take a break. Since we turned back to normal after COVID-19, I want to go on a trip for a while.”
