Lee Jung-jae expressed his joy in LA City’s ‘Squid Game Day’ enactment.
The city of Los Angeles (LA), California, USA held a proclamation ceremony to announce the establishment of ‘Squid Game’ Day at City Hall on the 9th (local time).
The event was attended by director Hwang Dong-hyuk of the Netflix series ‘Squid Game‘, actor Lee Jung-jae, and production company Cyron Pictures CEO Kim Ji-yeon.
Lee Jung-jae said, “First of all, I would like to thank the reporters who have been with the LA city officials since this morning.”
He added, “I can’t believe it either, but I am honored to have the ‘Squid Game’ Day on September 17th in itself, and I sincerely thank the Los Angeles City for making it happen.”
Lee Jung-jae also emphasized, “I think there will be a lot of special and commemorative days in LA, but I sincerely hope that ‘Squid Game’ Day will be the most enjoyable and fun day, and a day of intense harmony with friends and family.”
Earlier last month, the Los Angeles City Council adopted a resolution that established September 17 every year as the “Squid Game Day.”
Meanwhile, ‘Squid Game’ is a work that tells the story of those who participated in a mysterious survival game with a prize of 45.6 billion won, risking their lives to become the ultimate winner.
